Coachbuilt, the premium Scotch brand co-founded by Formula One World Champion Jenson Button, has launched its first-ever co-branded whisky in partnership with the iconic Williams Racing team. This inaugural release is an 18-year-old blended Scotch, aged in a combination of ex-Sherry and Bourbon casks, and bottled at a robust 48% ABV.
Crafted to honor the rich legacy of Williams Racing, the limited edition whisky celebrates the enduring connection between the team and Button, which dates back to 2000, when Williams gave Button his first break in Formula One.
“The launch of this whisky is a realization of my passion for blending two of my greatest loves: racing and Scotch,” said Button. “Fans of motorsport and whisky collectors alike have something truly special to look forward to with this unique series. Each bottle offers a smooth, well-balanced drinking experience.”
Blended by Coachbuilt co-founder George Koutsakis at Claxton’s, the whisky brings together liquid from all five Scotch whisky regions. Coachbuilt’s 18-year-old Scotch delivers a complex profile, with aromas of orchard fruit and winter spice, alongside flavors of vanilla, dark chocolate, and cinnamon—perfect for sipping neat or over ice.
The design of the packaging pays tribute to Williams Racing’s iconic FW-18 car, one of the team’s most successful models, with the 18-year aging symbolizing this legendary vehicle.
Limited to just 3,000 bottles worldwide, this special edition retails for €230 (US$295) for a 700ml bottle. It will be available from select spirits retailers starting in August, with pre-orders open now through Coachbuilt’s website and Master of Malt, with deliveries expected by November 6th
